YOU ACCOMPLISH WHATEVER YOU WISH (330) 
When you develop this mind, you effortlessly achieve all your desires, both temporary and ultimate. The best thing to wish for would be that all sentient beings abandon their unwanted suffering and achieve their desired happiness.
Engaging in the Deeds of Bodhisattvas says:
It is said that, with this, the boundless mass of beings
Will easily reach supreme happiness.
If you have developed bodhichitta in your mindstream, you will easily succeed in all things,
both ordinary and extraordinary: the knowledge mantras or tantric spells described in the tantric canon and so on.
We have not accomplished the set of trival deeds described in sūtra and tantras,
in certain anthologies, and so on-making it rain, stopping hail, and so forth.
Blame this on our lack of bodhichitta.
Thus if you want to rid yourself and others of obstacles like sickness, etc., and want to have greater abilities, you must develop this mind. It is wrong to think an instruction taught on some tantric spell is at fault if it does not work for you.
You need not resort to mantras- hūm hūm phat phat, for instance-or tantric paraphernalia. You can do these things by merely swearing an oath: Bodhisattva Sadāprarudita made his body whole again by such an oath.
Once in Lhasa the Kyichu River was about to overflow its banks and no one could stop it.Je Moenlam Paelwa wrote these words on a stone: “If it is true that I, Moenlam Paelwa, am a bodhisattva, may the waters quickly subside!”
He took the stone to the riverbank, and the river immediately went down. He had prevented the flood simply by swearing this otah.
Thus with bodhichitta you will achieve the highest thing, your main desire, the state of omniscience; you will also succeed in these minor spells at the very least.
